There are a few comics strips I enjoy and I thought you might too:
Bloom County - My namesake, of course
Dilbert - Patron saint of geeks, programmers, and engineers
Calvin & Hobbes - Eerie flashbacks of me as a child
Robotman - Hippest droid sidekick around
Netboy - One of the first Internet comics
Hepcats - A wonderful comic book series by Martin Wagner
The Mother of All Humor Archives
Gag Room - rivals the above in size
Humournet - a great mailing list for humor
News Of The Weird - Bizarre but true stories
This is True - another funny list a la "News of the Weird"
The Straight Dope - See if you can stump Cecil Adams!
From the Mouths of Babes - True quotes from Supermodels!
I taught myself how to play bridge not too long ago and found it to be a pretty fun game. I'm still not great at it, but I'm a quick learner. Here are some handy links about the game of bridge:
Play realtime bridge online with okbridge
Other online bridge info: Bridge on the Web
and lots of other bridge links are on Yahoo
I enjoy playing hearts even more than bridge. Not as many resources online for hearts except for a neat online game at
Internet Gaming Zone - Hearts
Talisman is one of my favorite games. It is a pseudo-role playing adventure board game. I say "pseudo" because we always played out the personalities of the standard characters to the hilt. Picture Monty Python meets Dungeon and Dragons. If you're in the North Dallas/Carrollton area and you'd like to play, please let me know!
